Nobody knows whare dose for an adapter kit. I have a 20-IB Nissan engine, but I can not find parts for the repair. You just need a rod and piston

Dude, stay away from water drawn stuff. Find a good engine type IV from an old bus, 411, 412, or the Porsche 912 or 914th
Everything you need to do is change the pilot influence on the wheel to allow the transfer and that's all.
Type IV out of the box in about 80 hp from 1700, and you can hit for 2400 without the reliability. Add a pair of 44mm carburetors and nothing else.

Kennedy, Production Engineering sells a lot of conversion kits. Try a Subaru engine in the same way as a VW help turn more weight on it and your chassis.

I know this is not the answer you seek, but shall be cooled with air.

1800 is a combination that I found quite reliable, with great traction.
