For about a year was my Canon scanner Lide25 fully functional. But now he begins to break on me and I think it broke. It makes a strange sound and the USB cable does not receive a response to the scanner.
Is there something to do? If the download something or get a new one in?

If you make strange noises, probably defective. You can try a USB cable, but it looks promising.
