Curently 22 years old in the first year of football in a Division 2 school
at 6'1 226
40-4.8ish
I played football as a high school year as a second line judge.
But never mind I thought had never done play ball.
I know what I need to do to play defense or linebacker.
especially defenders Linebacker plays because they have no experience of it.
I want to learn the linebacker, but I think I could do more than one defender. anythoughts?

In any case, you can try to go as a team. What do Postions, you can your settings all you want, but you just close your mouth and play where the coaches to keep in shape.
D-2 schools are not the best athlete, but they are not terrible either. Walking is not too hard, but it is not a Gimme. Do what you have said, work hard and keep their grades.
And to make to be honest, no mistake - do not like to go sooner. He has not played football in nearly 7 years, let alone exceeded hundreds FB strong competition from the D-1 schools.
As a realistic expectation, try the team D-II school. Something tells me he left football because they are either very good or very easy.
